I like pretty things. There. I said it.

At the Art Center College of Design they taught me how to think creatively, how to design beautifully and effectively, and how to work steadfastly. Working at an agency has taught me how to apply those skills.

For the past three and a half years I have been working at an agency that specializes in direct, digital, and CRM advertising. This experience has sharpened my focus, exposed me to new ways of thinking about the customer experience and how it relates to what we do. It's shown me some of the fascinating ways advertising is evolving.

Working for an agency has also taught me what it really means to collaborate. For instance: Copywriters are a surly bunch, but they have great ideas. A few baked treats later, we're throwing out ideas like there's no tomorrow. I believe in positive reinforcement. Even as a little kid, I played well with others.

Perhaps most importantly, life in an agency has shown me the difference between creating for myself and creating for my client's business. This doesn't mean the client is always right, but it does mean that as part of their creative team, I always need to keep their business needs front and center in my mind.

I want to take what I have learned and
continue to translate it into amazing advertising.
